Magic Mix

Although I am completely addicted to coffee, I have been trying to reduce my intake to a more healthy level. I love the ritual element of drinking coffee, and knew that in order to reduce the caffeine I consume I needed to replace it with something that provides the same sense of ritual. Through trial and error, I have come up with this super nourishing mix of adaptogenic herbs, tocos, cashew milk, raw honey, coconut manna and cinnamon.
The earthy flavour of the herbs combined with the creaminess of the manna and cashew milk makes this super satisfying and delicious. I drink this energy-boosting drink every morning while I read the news, and making it has become the perfect way to practice a little mindfulness each morning.
Ingredients
  • 1 tsp. black maca
  • 1.5 tsp. Superthrive (I found this mixture in Cape Town, but it is made up of mesquite, cacao, hemp, he shou wu, hawthorn, taheboo, schizandra, barley grass, medicinal mushrooms, tulsi, chasteberry, and rhodiola – pretty perfect mix of adaptogens and superfoods!)
  • 1 tsp. tocos
  • 1 tsp. coconut manna
  • 1/4 tsp. raw honey
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup warm cashew milk
  • 1 cup hot but not boiling water
Method
Mix all ingredients in blender and enjoy!
